About LawHack

photo of people working togetherLawHack 2021: Disability Justice is a 100% online event that is open to participants from across Australia and of all abilities. This will be possible thanks to the use of a purpose-built digital platform that connects participants in virtual workspaces, greenrooms and plenary sessions.

The one-day event will comprise of:

  • Hacking workshops, plenary sessions and mentor meetings
  • A pitching session
  • The judges’ announcement of the most exciting and innovative solution
  • A post-Hack drinks and canapes event

Teams will be formed to deliver:

  • A legal strategy
  • Draft court pleadings
  • A parallel advocacy strategy

There are four LawHack team member personas:

  • Legal professional
  • Policy professional
  • Advocate or campaigner
  • Disability sector professional
